Preah Sihanouk Province, Cambodia News: On the morning of November 15, 2018, a ground-breaking ceremony took place under the presidency of Mr. Kem Sithan to celebrate the future Cheung Special Economic Zone, located in Trapeang Ror village, Cheung Ko commune, Prey Nub district, Preah Sihanouk province.

The Cheung Special Economic Zone, owned by Cambodian Chemist GSZ Company, is being constructed on 133 hectares along National Road No. 4 in Trapeang Thleng Village, Cheung Ko Commune, Prey Nub District, Sihanouk Province, about 53 kilometers from Sihanoukville city.

This will be Sihanoukville province's second special economic zone (SEZ 2). It follows in the footsteps of the first SEZ in Sihanoukville, a successful project which now employs tens of thousands of workers.
