Online dating in SE Asia
Online dating in SE Asia
I see the other forum has landed some online dating site as an advertiser. I don't know anything about that particular dating site, but I assume it's just like most others I've looked into. I get the impression that the same group owns/runs many of them (a different one for each country), as they look nearly identical. I have never, and would never, shell out cash for a "premium" membership on these sites. I wonder if anyone reading this has done so and would give their impressions on whether they feel it's worth their money?
Can the girls' biographic info and the message responses you get on those sites tell us much about the culture or basic economic conditions of a country? I think they tell us quite a bit.
Young, attractive filipinas most often profess no preference for upper age limits of their male suitors. They all claim to be "serious" in looking for a husband, yet it seems practically any guy will do. Of course, the fact that 90% of those girls are single mothers already (even the 19 year olds) would play a large part in their apparent desperation, and there are seemingly thousands to choose from.
Vietnamese girls seem to much more prefer (or demand) staying near their own age for online dating. Practically no single mothers to be found, and most girls are quite highly educated with seemingly decent paying jobs.
Dating sites for South Korean and Japanese women seem to attract mostly over-40, divorced women with kids. Many more mature (i.e. old) women on those sites, very few younger.
Thailand dating sites contain a mix of all the above. From desperate Pattaya bar girls of all ages to young, rich, snooty Bangkok social climbers to aging, lonely single moms of grown children out in the countryside. There seems to be someone out there for any demographic.
When looking through those sites, I took the information presented at face value, and assumed they were from real women and not Nigerian conmen or other scammers, which is always a possibility.
Does anyone have different, or better researched opinions on these SE Asia dating sites? How about Cambodia-specific dating sites? (I don't know of any).

I don't know about the site, but if it was a real Cambodia online dating site, surely it would have a Connect 4 section.

Some women on the online dating sites seem very genuine and sincere. But what on earth is going on with this woman's ginormous man-feet? Those feet are redonkulous! I'd assume it's a transsexual based on those feet, but she is holding a baby and claims to be a mother, so who knows?

Re: Online dating in SE Asia
Speaking of online dating, the Badoo website is down right now.
And yes.....I've paid a little bit, here and there, to online dating sites.
I think I paid about $15 for the year on Twoo in order to be able to see everyone's pictures and see who checked out my page.
And I've paid about $2 to bump myself up to the top on Badoo a few times too.
Also, I believe the one advertised on K440 is a paid site.
Many say "free to sign up/register." Which is true. But after you sign up/register, you can't do shit until you pay, which means you can't even reply to messages, rendering the site useless.
Last I checked, http://www.DateInAsia.com was still 100% free, including to send/receive PM's.
And nowadays there are so many free options out there that the paid sites have to be feeling it.
Also, some sites aren't necessarily "dating sites" but have features that let you choose if you like/dislike people, liked http://www.Tagged.com

Re: Online dating in SE Asia
You have to meet them in real life to find out if they just are a bunch of wankers anyway, and there are coffee shops and bars all over the place where singles come to hang out and show themselves. If you like tiny feet and dicks and brains for example it's hard to find out online anyway.

Hasn't Badoo changed into Blendr?General Mackevili wrote:Speaking of online dating, the Badoo website is down right now.
I had deactivated my Badoo's account but when it became Blendr, they put my picture up without my consent. And they still do apparently, even after I had frozen my account and profile not to appear anywhere.

I have used the Walkabout dating site a few times, and I'm still single.Soi Dog wrote:No one else has experience on the dating sites? Looks like not so many single people on here.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
