I don't know anything more than I've read here but she sounds like a typically clingy and desperate woman. They tend to lash out irrationally if things aren't going their way. Money wouldn't be the primary issue here.

I agree, the primary issues here appear to be extortion and harassment. Deport the silly expat and spare the local community any more damaging behavior. The local men are bad enough as it is.

What I take from the story as it transpired here are 2 things:
1) and foremost, avoid Tom Steinmetz at all cost. He is just the kind of person that brings trouble and deceit. Plausible deniability and that schmuck claim about family dont impress me.
2) I feel sorry for the lady and - since I like a nice piece of cake - might purchase some of her product while keeping my eyes on the product.
