Thanks for the all helpful replies. I don't spend much time in PP, and restaurants go up and down. Im showing some friends around right now and I wanted to get away from the same old go-to places.

Went to Pepper Tree last night and it was simple, but absolutely fine. Cocktails at $2.50, dishes all about $4.50, draught beer was $1, and pleasant staff and atmosphere. Sorry no photos, lol.
Will check out some of the other suggestions here too. Cheers. :beer3:

Btw, Pepper Tree supposedly sells Indian food, but apparently the chef is "on holiday" so its off the menu. Plenty of Thai, Khmer, western dishes though.
