Transport

Post by WRK »

I am in the process of moving, permanently, from Vietnam to Cambodia. Moving does provide the opportunity to ask yourself, do I really need this.

I have a motor bike, bought it new in Vietnam, nearly two years old now. Has Vietnam registration plates.

Am I better off selling the m/bike in Vietnam before I leave or riding it to Cambodia and changing the rego, how difficult, how much, in Cambodia.

I am interested to hear your comments.

I think it partly depends on what sort of bike, how much it was and how much can you sell it for in Vietnam. You can get a brand new Yamaha Spark 114cc with disc and petrol injection for around $1100, if you want alloy wheels add another $100. Yamaha will do all the registration for you, plates, card etc. very quickly. Facilitation fee about $30.

Thankyou for the info Kuroneko. The price you advised for a new m/bike is about the same in Vietnam.
