Hold-Up at Chinese Shop, Sorya Shopping Center, Phnom Penh

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On October 15 2018, at 11 pm, a robbery at knife-point occurred at a Chinese wholesale shop on street 63, in front of Sorya Shopping Center in Sangkat Psar Thmey1, Phnom Penh.

According to a witness at the scene, at around 11pm that evening, they saw two Chinese men run out of the shop with a bag, jump into a tuk-tuk, and drive off. Then, a few minutes later, a Chinese woman ran out into the street, screaming that she had just been robbed and asking for help. She said that she had been tied up and gagged at knife-point by the thieves, who got away with US$30,000. The police went to the scene where they confirmed the robbery and took the shop-owner down to the police station to question her about the suspects.

PRC is one of the most monitored and policed countries. From facial recognization cameras, cell phones monitoring, police, undercover, state security, people are watched constantly. Criminals would probably find easier pickings where there is a high concentration of Chinese and very little surveillance or plain clothes police following them around. Sorry, guys wearing bike helmets with visors and carrying wooden sticks don’t cut it as undercover police.

30k score. Again...ask the right questions here. Examine the details. Find the real story.

I've got a question...do these Triad rejects need any Western muscle? Not for nothing but 30-large is a nice haul. I'm sure at the very least they could use decent wheelman...we know chunks can't drive for shit.
