Oddar Meanchey Province: On October 13, 2018, at 15:42, there was a case of child murder in O'Tameng village, Anlong Veng commune, Anlong Veng district, Oddar Meanchey province.

Police in Anlong Veng district received information at 9:30 am, and promptly with direct instructions from the police chief, investigators identified the suspect, 17-year-old resident of Baray district, Kampong Thom province, living in O'Tangng village, Anlong Veng commune, Anlong Veng district, Oddar Meanchey province.

According to the police interrogator, the suspect confessed to having raped and murdered the victim who was 5 years old. He said that he had a conflict with the mother of the victim.

One hell of a civilized manner to settle a conflict, whatever that was.

You rape a 5yo because you enjoy raping 5yo children. Not because you have beef with the mother. If you have beef with the mother and you're not a pedo, raping her 5yo child doesn't even enter your head. As horrific as the crime is, let's not mix them up. You rape a 5yo because you enjoy it. Using an excuse that you had beef with the mother is just that. An excuse.

Rape and Murder of a 5yr old.

A neighbour has brutally murdered a 5-year-old girl because he was angry with the mother of the victim in Oddar Meanchey Province.

The suspect is a 17 year old male from Baray District, Kampong Thom province, currently residing in O’Tameng village, Anlong Veng Commune, Anlong Veng District, Oddar Meanchey Province.

The incident occurred on the 13th of October, 2018, in O’Tameng village, Anlong Veng. The body of the child was discovered by villagers at about 9.30pm approximately 100m from her house during a search after she had been reported missing from where she was last seen alive sleeping in a hammock under her home at about 3.30pm.

The child had been brutally attacked with a weapon her multiple injures were consistant with a knife. There was evidence of sexual assault.

Police and CPU were called to the location and a crime scene established. Investigations were conducted throughout the night and as a result at about 11.40pm a 17yr old male was detained for questioning.

During the ensuing interviews the male confessed to kidnapping the child from her home while she slept, after which he took her to a wooded area where he sexually assaulted then strangled her.

He stated that he then returned to his home obtained a knife then went back to the crime scene and attacked the child. The level of violence used has shocked all personnel present.

The male stated he committed the murder because he was angry with the victims mother, he further stated he had been planning the attack for some days.

The male has been charged with aggravated intentional murder of a child which has a maximum penalty of life in prison.

There is just no explanation to this barbaric act of extreme violence the CPU will do everything to ensure the maximum sentenced is imposed. RIP little one you did not deserve this.
