Yes, if your washing machine is brand new, this should not be necessary, but if your landlord provided the machine, it may be new/second-hand and in that case, check the filter. Back to the tap water. There are numerous public service announcements in the west - on TV, radio, print - encouraging tap water drinking. With the message of not just is tape water drinking healthy but also saving the planet.
