Trash Collector Caught Throwing Trash into Koh Kong River

Koh Kong, Cambodia News: According to the social media page of the Ministry of the Environment, a man who was caught red-handed throwing bags of trash into Koh Yor river, on October 12, 2018, has been identified as Say Sarun. The man was detained for questioning, and was reeducated by an official from the Ministry of Environment in Koh Kong, on October 13, 2018.

The man is a trash collector, who said that he threw the bags of trash into the river because his cart was broken, so he needed to lighten his load. He has accepted that he made a mistake and he was released after signing an agreement not to reoffend.
