SkyTree Construction Workers Strike and Block Road in Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: Around a hundred Cambodian workers put down their tools and blocked the road outside the Sky Tree building site at Baktouk village, Toul Sangke 1 district, Russey Keo district.
The protests erupted around 2 pm on October 5, 2018 when they learnt that they would not be getting the two months of wages owed to them before the Pchum Ben holiday.

Sky Tree Project Apologizes People in the Area for Causing Road Closure Incident

Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 10 - Dong-ping International LTD, the developer of the Sky Tree project, on 5 October 2018, has a disagreement with workers which developed to protests and led to road closure.
Following three hours of negotiations, Dong-ping International LTD finally agreed to pay $2,000 to workers measured by their completed works and for them to go to their hometowns for Pchum Ben festival.
Due to the protests that affected the traffics in the area, Dong-ping International LTD would like to apologize to the public for the road closures.
