In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Re: Hidden censorship - censorship by connectivity
China is a poor country.britscienceteacher wrote:You have a point on direct censorship. It's especially true for Chinese language, but not really that bad for English language. I was simply raising the issue of censorship by connectivity which I believe is widely practiced around the world and very unpleasant if you experience it personally. Of course it can easily be blamed on the router or other issue - this makes it a hidden form of censorship.
Many Chinese throw their trash on the ground.
Many Chinese spit.
There are words in Chinese that have no English translation.

I started to research China's control of it's internet and simply gave up.
Page after page of how China controls and censors what can be accessed, who can use it and what they will allow on it within their borders.
There was one hit that praised China's policy......a thread on CEO...topic23691.html

Yes, despite some complaints about censorship, CEO allows all sorts of loons to air their views.TOG wrote: ↑Sun Oct 07, 2018 8:34 pm I started to research China's control of it's internet and simply gave up.
