Having said that, the very nature of the existence of such signage suggests that some folks would manage anyway

Went downstairs earlier and there was my 3 kids and wife, as well as 2 cousins. All of them had their faces buried in their smartphone sitting in a line against the wall.

With a society like that (globally), there would be many that need such signs.

I appreciate your pain (so much so that I've interrupted my game of candy crush to pick up my overheating iPad, whilst watching ken Burns' Vietnam...), in order to post.
I've won over SWMBO in the battle of the phones, and am now seen as Mr Nasty by the sprogs, for imposing time limits on the use of the curs'd devices. The tantrums are decreasing in length, though, and I still get goodnight kisses!
