Banteay Meanchey, Cambodia News: In a coordinated crackdown by police, five drug dealers, including the alleged mastermind of the gang, were arrested on suspicion of trafficking and selling drugs in three provinces: Banteay Meanchey, Siem Reap and Battambang.
More than 2kgs of methamphetamine, 4 fire arms, nmerous telephones, bankbooks, and money were confiscated as evidence by the authorities.

Banteay Meanchey: Police operations to shut down a large drug-trafficking ring in Banteay Meanchey and Siem Reap have continued over several days.

Following the arrests on 19 September, one of the prime suspects has been identified as a high ranking military officer, Khim Chamrunekora , 26, a Lieutenant Colonel and son of a General. His Siem Reap home was then searched by police who found a large arsenal of weapons and almost 1000 yama amphetamine pills.
