Crackdown on Airport Bag Snatchers

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: Increasing numbers of bag-snatch thefts are targeting airport customers in Phnom Penh. As a result, on September 12, 2018, at 11:30 pm, the police force cracked down on a group of bag snatchers operating in front of and close to Phnom Penh International Airport.

Case 1: A 19-year-old construction worker, Keo Sovanrachna, was arrested after snatching a bag from a 50-year-old Cambodian man, Seng Horm. However, his accomplice, appropriately named Cheat, made a fast getaway and escaped the law.
Case 2: An 18-year-old student, Reoun Sopheak, and a 17-year-old student, Vuth Sakana, were both arrested after they were seen snatching a bag from a Chinese man, RUI FAIIAN.

The suspects were taken to Katap 1 police post.

The bracelets suit him but I think the handbag is the wrong colour. I do like his eye make up though. Someone got in a quick punch.

This would never happen in Thailand. Notice the gold chain around his waist..That would have disappeared long before the photo was taken.

Another bag-snatching from Chinese tourists in proximity of Phnom Penh International Airport:

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On September 17,2018, at 10:20 am, 2 exhibition traders of Chinese nationality, got their bag snatched from their tuk-tuk in Khan Porsenchey, Phnom Penh.

The victims hired the tuktuk from Olympic stadium to their guesthouse in front of Phnom Penh International Airport. When the victims got out of the tuk-tuk at the hotel, two men came up behind them on a motorbike and snatched a small backpack from one of the Chinese men. The thieves made their getaway, and the victims filed a complaint with police.

The stolen backpack contained, among other items, $3,000 and 2 passports.
