Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On September 16, 2018, a 44-year-old male tourist from Belgium, TOM STEFAN, was found dead in his room at Jasmin R.S guesthouse on Street 27, Sangkat Psar Thmey 2, Phnom Penh.

According to the guest house staff, MANPEET SIGH, a 30-year-old Indian man, the victim checked in at the guesthouse alone on September 12. On September 16, the victim hadn't paid for the guesthouse yet, and he wasn't out of the room, so he went to knock on the door but got no reply. He unlocked the door, found the victim lying dead near the bed, and called the police.

The police reported to the prosecutor, and the Scientific and Criminal office of the Immigration Department came to examine the body. The police determined that the victim died of heart attack after using morphine. In the room, the police found a small packet of the drug, a passport, 3 bank cards, a bag and 4,000 Riel.
