Police Use Necessary Force Fending Off Drug Addict

Phnom Penh, Cambodia news: At 1:00 am on Aug. 27, 2018, there was a case of intentional violence by a drug addict who was stopped and questioned by police at Prek Tear gas station in Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh.

The suspect was found to be in possession of a pistol, a pair of pliers, some drugs, and a large chopping knife among other things.

Suddenly, the suspect grabbed the chopper and lunged at the victim, cutting his right arm. Police then overcame the suspect by using as much force as they deemed necessary. The authorities are preparing the case for court.

I was wondering what kind of gun that was, I thought I could see a star on the grip which would indicate a Norinco CF98 or other Glock clone.

It doesn't even have a trigger so it's likely a toy or airsoft replica. The pink pliers are a bit scary though.

If it was a real gun wouldn’t the criminal had reached for it first and not the chopper?

Usually gun beats knife.
