khaosan road street stalls cleared

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Never stayed on the KSR and never ate any street food there. There were a couple good restaurants in the Banglampoo area like Primavera.

Last time I was in the area about 2 years ago, we elected to eat at Shoshana (Israeli food), still there after a quarter of a century. Most of the bars there usually played bad music too loudly. It was better to drink behind the temple or go some place like the Saxophone Pub at Victory Monument or Woodstock at Nana, etc.

For me the main attraction of the KSR were the used bookshops such as Shaman and there were some places to get a good but cheap real Thai massage.

Anybody ever stop by VS Guesthouse?

I may be going to hell in a bucket,
but at least I'm enjoying the ride.
