Most likely he was deported back to France, but it' s hard to know what happens to people when they are arrested by immigration. If you think he might still be in Cambodia, you could contact the French consulat to see if he's in prison or being held by the Cambodian immigration. They should have records.

Pas de problem. Hope that you'll find him and that all's well. If he's still being held by immigration, let us know, and maybe someone can go and see whats happening.
