PP: a French Christian who was head of kids charity has passed away
GT:
Christian, a Frenchman, is the head of the OAG
For the smiles of children, he helped count Cambodian children
Thousands of rubbish piles in Phnom Penh now
Dying and every Khmer will remember good
Thank you and let's go well! "

This is Pappy, the founder/head of PSE, not OAG or whatever.
He died years ago.
Your source is asleep.

Well I'm sure JB ain't rated me negatively for a joke at TOF's news reportage (which always is days behind CEO)angkorjohn wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 2:54 pmYeah indeed, well this guys name fits as like the other forum he publishes last weeks news todaythat genius wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 7:52 am This is Pappy, the founder/head of PSE, not OAG or whatever.

So JB in case you thought my joke was about Christian it was about the OP's name Borum-Ex frm TOForum. I gotta lot of respect for what he did one with PSE over the years, and what they still do today, his passing in October 2016 was sad, but as stated is not new news. He also may have been called Christian but I dont recall PSE being a bunch of bible bashers or having connections with any religion for doing their work. so the title needs changing to from french christian.

This really is a strange story.
Checking the OP's source on FB @ Khmer Press, the story was posted yesterday and there are dozens of people offering condolences and saying nice things about the dearly departed.
Yet, the story in the link below (dated Feb 2017) says, "Widowed since September 2016, Marie-France des Pallières continues the work of "For a child's smile" (PSE) that she and her husband Christian (des Pallières) founded in 1996 to feed, educate and give a job to the poorest children from Cambodia."

They do good work.
Educate and feed over 7000 kids a day.
They started when the founder saw the Steung Meanchey rubbish dump scavengers, he was a good man.

In France in 2016 the movie "Les pépites" was at the cinema. It tell the storie about his life, his familly and the association. It's a heartbreak movie. In the beginning they are just retired workers who spend their holiday in Cambodia. See how he manage to feed child workers, give them a roof and educate them... just amazing. Christian and his wife Marie France are saints.
Last year I meet a french girl in Phnom Penh and she told that she came here because of the movie.
