Where in Phnom Penh is your favourite place for pizza and why?
Re: Where in Phnom Penh is your favourite place for pizza and why?
I think they will stick to their standard list of toppings... simply specify you you don't need onions then they will not put union. I used to ask them not to put olives.Cam Nivag wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 8:18 pmDoes Pizza 5 still include onions on all pizzas unless you specifically ask not to have onions on the pizza?siu wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 7:26 pmYes I did. They moved to a new place near TTP at St 143. I know the chef and and he said the landlord at their old shop increase the rent so they moved out. Ordered a pizza there and it was still the same quality -- one of the best in PP. I know they also supply to some events and hotels. Price is affordable... 5.5$ for a big size so it is worth to try.

Then I think your last visit was long long time ago. Beer is 1$, and you can get it cool drink for free if you order on Thursdays, because I usually take this advantage...John Bingham wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 8:25 pmIt's ok a cheap takeaway pizza the pizzas are passable but nothing great. It was quite a while back to be honest. Glad to hear they have sorted out that beer thing.siu wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 9:26 pmJohn Bingham wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 8:25 pmIt's ok a cheap takeaway pizza the pizzas are passable but nothing great. Romanos do an excellent pizza and a superb calzone (for my tastes) - at least they did during the first quarter of this year when we were in town. Had some really good pizzas from Katy Peri over the years we were in town, but they can be very inconsistent, had one once that tasted like smokey chemicals. I think they had some dud, chemically treated wood that had been salvaged or something. Was a bit embarrassing at the time, had a friend in town, and I told him how good their pizzas were...really disappointing that time.
Gotta say the best pizza we've had in Cambodia was, surprisingly, in Sihanoukville at Olive and Olive, it was about two years ago, but good enough to remember to this day and really good value for money. Not sure if they are still around given the changes there. Very unlikely that I will ever go back to find out.

Ah I loved the pizza at Olive and Olive when I lived in SHV, haven't been back since I left 3 years ago, still the same owners? They also had a great beef dish with straw potatoes of which I don't remember the name of.Joker Poker wrote: ↑Wed Aug 08, 2018 8:40 pmRomanos do an excellent pizza and a superb calzone (for my tastes) - at least they did during the first quarter of this year when we were in town. In PP, best pizza is in some place that also has a restaurant in Siem Reap, grande pizza or grande forno or something, my memory isn't all what it used to be.
just noise, white noise

What are straw potatoes?
Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.

something like this:
but in Olive and Olive they were topped with beef and a nice sauce, tasted much better than it looks!

My picks in PP
Trattoria del Arte -- Quite good.
Aria D'Italia Pizzeria -- Italy style -- I can say it was number 1 in the past, now quality downturned
Pizza 5 Cambodia -- French style -- pizza specialist as only sell pizzas. Very good taste with balanced dough and tomato sauce, 5.5$ for a big size but recommended to add $0.5 to top extra cheese. With own delivery team!
