Introduce Yourself

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I write about music mostly. Moving to Cambodia in October so thought it was time I joined this properly. I'm new here but I've been coming to Cambodia for 17 years. I've got some land leased on the hill in Koh Rong Samloem and I'm building some property there. I'm also learning Mandarin. If you get me. Nice to meet you all.
Why you going to KoW for?

Its not cheap like before, lot of expats are moving on.....

Better do Vietnam or thailand.

Cambodia is done.

You'd be wise to ignore Beerinthemornings dismal rants, he has never lived or worked in Cambodia.

OK thanks... But in case he is wondering...

The fact people are saying 'Cambodia is done' is exactly why I'm moving in. It might be done as a beacon for sexpats, filthy hippies and drunken uni kids on summer holidays or gap years, but the new guys in town have a lot more money to spend. Cambodia is booming, you've just gotta embrace it, not pine for the days of 50c Klangs and lording it about like a low-rate John McAffe.

They have Budweiser. It unfortunately says '0%' on it though.

Introduce Yourself

Post by Journada »

I'm a journalist in California, looking for someone who I can interview for a podcast. I'd like to ask some questions about conditions inside Prey Sar prison. Someone who has firsthand knowledge would be great, but that's not essential. Anyone who can speak with some authority, even if the knowledge is secondhand, would work for this purpose. You can reach me via email at [email protected]. Thanks.
