Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

A quick search found this place. I can't vouch for it though. I haven't been there...yet.

The crackdown continues.

Military Police destroyed 845 marijuana plants in Takeo
06 August 2018
Military Police forces in Takeo district on Friday destroyed 845 marijuana plants in Kirivong district’s Purong village. However, the owner of the plants is said to have escaped.

Nget Chanthy, deputy commander of Takeo’s Military Police, said on Sunday that the plants were cut and burned.

About 200 metres of tubing used as a watering system were also destroyed by officers. ‘My forces burned down the marijuana plants,’ he said, adding that the owner who planted them escaped before police arrived.

An investigation is being launched in order to locate the suspect responsible for growing the plants, said the National Military Police on its Facebook page. Since February, 94,126 marijuana plants have been destroyed in Kirivong district. Fifty wells used for watering marijuana plants have also been destroyed.
