The strange and secret Cambodian cult of gangsters fighting in their underwear appears to have struck again, this time in Banteay Meanchey.

What could be the explanation behind these strange reports of underwear gangsters which appear in the local press ? CEO News goes behind the scenes to investigate:
The most likely explanation is that these reports come from crime photos published by Cambodian police, who have a well-known penchant for photographing criminals in their underwear in order to humiliate them, as part of the process known as the Cambodian police "reeducation" of minor criminals. Indeed, one can imagine the embarrassment this causes the suspects and their families.
The Khmer press duly reports "Suspects Arrested for Fighting in their Underwear".


On July 31, 2018, at 5:15 pm, 6 suspects got arrested while fighting, and were subsequently detained by police and made to parade in their underwear for causing violence on 4 other men in Chong Kal district, Banteay Meanchey. .

The victims are photographed fully clothed. This is how you can tell the difference between suspects and victims when both gangs look unkempt.

Motto: If you are attending a rumble, a smackdown, or even a simple assault and battery, make sure you are wearing your best grundies. The whole of Cambodia may be admiring them tomorrow.
