Phnom Penh Nightlife 2018 - Anyone Still Awake ?

This is the part of the forum where we discuss Cambodia's nightlife! While most bars, nightclubs, pubs, beer gardens, and hostess bars are in Phnom Penh, we discuss the Cambodian nightlife across all of Cambodia, including Siem Reap, Kampot, and Sihanoukville. The main nightlife areas in Phnom Penh are on Street 136, Street 130, Street 110 and Street 51, but there are other party spots that aren't girlie bars where expats, tourists, and locals drink until the sun comes up. Feel free to post specials and promotions that relate to nighttime fun!

Cept she's apparently not American. Papillon Soo Soo (born Papillon Soo Lam in 1961) is an English-Chinese model and actress, born to French and Chinese parents: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Papillon_Soo_Soo

Was it the movie Full Metal Jacket ( one of my all time favourites btw) that was responsible for the whole "love you long time" phrases associated with Vietnam?

It sure was. The movie wasn't made anywhere near Vietnam though, it was made in a derelict part of London's docklands before they were developed.

A fun fact I have also known for some time. If you look closely at the buildings they have steel Crittal windows.. not something you would see in Vietnam 😉

I've got an old Dutch Hardcore/Gabber vinyl at home that uses samples of the Drill Sargent at the beginning of the movie

To be fair the movie i s a timeless classic that never ages. The soundtrack to the movie is almost as good as the movie itself.

Was at Oskar Bistro month before last during World Cup mania. Place was packed with fans watching the screens, ignoring any girls roaming about. We had the last table in the house. Only group not watching the game. The various girlie bars were packed with girls with the hungry stare for customers. Maybe will go again next month.

I find it entertaining watching obviously bored taxi girls trying to charm the guys. And drunk expats trying to pick up missus’s lesbian friends.

Maybe just go to some clubs better here ? Personally I don't really like the bars around riverside, I just love massages and clubs :D

Any massage at riverside with extra services ?
