Mine hardly uses any electricity, in fact it works fine with the water pressure from the mains (sometimes I leave it unplugged). Just takes about an hour or two to fill up the 10L bladder tank which then can be emptied into an empty blue 20 liter bottle. The valves and hoses are cheap though and crack easily, so be careful.

MIne's just like this, doesn't need electricity for anything, water in one end, the other end to a dedicated tap. Not sure why electricity or tanks are needed?
