Fruit Seller Arrested After Attacking the Police at Neak Meas Market

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On July 22 at 3:30 PM, the police officer, Khen Tith, was injured after getting attacked by a fruit seller at Neak Meas market in Sangkat Psar Derm Kor, Phnom Penh.

According to the victim's family, after receiving the complaint from the tuk-tuk driver who argued with the suspect, the victim and the other two police officer went to the scene for questioning. When they were there, the suspect suddenly took the chopping knives to attack the victim, causing him seriously injured. The suspect was arrested immediately.

The victim has been staying at Calmette Hospital. Since the victim has really serious injuries, his family requested to the Lieutenant General Chun Sovann to help coordinate with the immigration department to approve the passport for the victim so that he can get treatment in Thailand.
