Not so much about remedies, but about the social environment, the way it has changed over the years, and who is manipulating the process for benefit.

that is smart, and shows that the solid part of the community is actively involved.

Trying to isolate one from the other is rather short sighted. I would think after the impact of the economic distress of 2008 that would be less common, but oddly it's not.

The language issue isn't as bad as it's often blown up to be, most places have added a second language option... none have eliminated the primary language. The result has been to increase education of Americans to encourage learning of a second language. Economically, thousands of jobs as interpreters have been created; frequently employing those same immigrants who have learned English.

With a very minority exception of a few gang member types, immigrants are MORE lawful than natural citizens because of fear of deportation, so it positively impacts crime rates.

By a willingness to perform menial jobs at low wages, immigrants make for lowered production costs in various industries... this leads to low prices on those products/services, leaving natural citizens with more money in their pocket and the ability to do more with it.

Like here, people from South America hold very strongly to family values and the nuclear family type of models. This results in more of that influence "rubbing off" on other Americans, with a slight return to the good family values the country once had.

Interracial relationships, especially among younger generations, help to teach diversity and work towards eliminating the racism that drives so much of the fear of immigrants and the xenophobia surrounding the subject.

but they failed to do so. the police even gave them what they wanted and were ordered to "stand down". then everyone through a fit about THAT.

yes, the police showed up looking like the military... then again the looters show up with molotov cocktails and dressed like insurgents. you can't have a militarized criminal element and not expect militarized police forces to address the situation.
