Money Transfer Services to the Philippines

Post by barry_mckokinner »

Hi CEO

I'm a Filipino and I recently moved to Poipet (about a month now) to work in a casino. I wanna ask what are the trustworthy money transfer services in Cambodia. I need a place that lets me transfer money to the Philippines.

At the moment, my work visa is still being processed so I can't do it through a bank. I've looked around town and saw True Money and DaraPay. Are these legit and can they transfer money overseas? If not, I'd like some recommendations.

Thanks a lot!

The confirmation code I need to verify my PayPal account doesn't seem to appear on my credit card bill so I can't do anything with that at the moment.

I found a Western Union here but it looks super sketchy (too bad I can't upload a picture here). It's a small 4x4 meter kiosk with barely anything in it. I got paranoid it might just be a prop up for a scam xD

There's four Western Union places in central Poipet. Try this one:

CAB POIPET TOWN
Phum Kbal Spean, Poipet City
Banteymeanchey Province
Poipet, Banteymeanchey 855
+855-54-900333
Hours & Info|Directions|Share
Open Now
B1.76 km

WU places look shonky in most countries.

Damn, I didn't see this when I was walking. All I saw was the one next to ACLEDA Bank.

Thanks, I'll definitely check this out!

Yup, I saw that but it was already closed when I got there. That's legit, right? I got sketched out because it was so small and empty haha

There's a window in the bank for Western Union, but they are shut on the weekend. The dodgy booth will be separate from the bank.
