Cement sacks are about 60 cm long, and a football is about 22cm in diameter. I've highlighted the UXO in yellow, and it's far smaller than that.Artful Dodger wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 3:58 pm I am only going by the photos... looks far bigger than a grenade... looks like soccer ball size.
Here are a couple of similar UXOs (center) with a PRC 25/77 portable transceiver behind.
Here's a PRC 25 on a soldier for comparison (just the top part, the bottom is a KY-38voice encryption device):

Thank you for highlighting size comparison. I see now in photos no.6 on OP what looks like the safety lever in front of it. Just a frag grenade. Not a bomb.Artful Dodger wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 4:44 pmJohn Bingham wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 4:13 pmCement sacks are about 60 cm long, and a football is about 22cm in diameter. Well spotted, I didn't notice that. Surely a grenade is a bomb?Artful Dodger wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 4:49 pm

If you want to argue the point... things that go boom... is it a bomb. In my eyes, a bomb is something dropped from a plane or an IED. Everything else is military ordinance or explosives.John Bingham wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 4:59 pm
