3 Pagoda Thieves Arrested for Stealing Buddhas and Holy Relics
Ratanakkiri: On July 03 at 9:45 am, 3 men were arrested in Banlung City, for stealing a Buddha statue from Hat Bok pagoda on March 17, 2108.
The police arrested a suspect identified as Lai Sivotha, 33 years old, and found in his possession many Buddhas and other relics that he had stolen from the pagoda previously. After his arrest, the suspect told police that there were also two Laotian men involved in the thefts, Mom Chantha,and Khoun Kahao, both aged 18. Police went to arrest other two suspects immediately, and all three will face trial at Ratanakkiri Court in Banlung.
