38 Chinese Arrested in Police Raids in Kampot (ANNIVERSARY)

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

I have just finished paying for the house we are building in Kep. Is there someone on the forum I can send bail money to until this horrible travesty is sorted out? She is the sweetest, most caring girl you would ever meet, in the eight months since I met her (online) she has never missed a skype call and always picks the money I send her immediately. She sends me pictures of our house and shows me where all $163,000 USD has been spent.
This is a put on right? If not you can entrust me with the bail money and I will send you pictures of my villa.

Correct, folks! It's been making the rounds in the local media TODAY, but yes, it looks to be the ANNIVERSARY, not breaking news today. Title and reporting has been updated.
"Life is too important to take seriously."

"Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh."

You're the man. Good find.

However, pleading good faith from CEO News, there were two different Khmer news sources for this, dated from today, so it appeared to be confirmed as recent. Hard to know if it is an anniversary update or plain news recycling, but thanks.

Thank you for the update. I confronted Yang Mi about being arested a year ago and not this morning and demanded she explain why she would need bail momey if she were not in jail. She came clean on everything. She admitted that she had been tricked in working internet scams before although she was not good at it and only did it for a very short time. She told me she was so bad at the romance scam that she was made to do the your computer has a virus scam instead. She was caught, rounded up with the criminals and deported back to China. Luckily she escaped that brutal communist regime again and fled to Laos. In Laos she worked unimaginably hard and saved every single Kip she could and now has a thriving import export business with two Nigerian partners on Rabbit Island, Laos near a large Casino, the Kings Roman. That is where I made the mistake of thinking the house was in Cambodia when it was really being built in Laos. 2 Rabbit Islands, easy to get confused. The house pictures were real, it was the location that wasn t.

Now I know Yang Mi was a scammer but she has changed. I have to tell you all when she was crying telling me her story I got a funny sensation in my groinal area. I can t help but think we are just two crazy kids in a mixed up world that really belong together. She told me she missed me and I had just talked to her the day before, I mean what more can I say. I can forgive, she has put scamming behind her and she is beautiful with her make up on. So I am moving to Laos instead of Cambodia. I have this forum to thank for my good luck. Best wishes to you all except the pervy guy who takes pictures of teenage girls at the Mall. Do any of you know of a good laotian expat forum? Thanks again all and please wish Yang Mi and I good luck!

I wish I could muster up similar optimism, but I feel you are enhancing the beauty of a dilemma with make-up of the mind. Nonetheless good luck to you anyway.
