World Cup Gambling Venues Closed by Police
Football gambling online
Despite the warnings from the Prime Minister about online gambling on the World Cup Football, police have been busy shutting down gambling venues all over Cambodia. The 24/24 internet cafes are well known as illegal gambling hotbeds, but police have found betting going on in all sorts of locations.
In Phnom Penh yesterday, police raided a hairdressers shop belonging to Yi Harman Setha, on the street 614 in front of 7 Makara Market (Toul Kork Market) in Boeung Kok II, which was said to be a popular gambling venue.
