that genius: I see swiftlet farms all over Cambodia and Vietnam; though you need an expert to build it. The hardest part is attracting them in the first place. Look for houses with vents like these:

I noticed one right in the middle of Kampot, before I knew what it was all about. Thousands of little birds swarming and teeming into a building at dusk. Quite a thing to watch them making their missed approaches and going around and trying again until they make it inside.

was told it take tens years to fully populate a bird nest house to be commercially viable, takes generations of the birds to keep coming back to the same house, once its fully occupied they dont need the loud artificial chirping anymore, coz naturally they are loud as fuck
