i can, as an asian who grew up in a cosmopolitan environment. for those who know me in real life, some were curious on why i had a western name (in fact lots of singaporeans do) the main reason was that many western couldnt pronounce our chinese or malay or indian name properly, hence all the western name, when i was 9 yrs old my old man had lots aussie jockeys frens that lived in sgp that couldnt pronounce our names, so my old man gave me one.
