I'm surprised no one has drug the Chinese into this somehow.
I'm sure that was everyones first thought, this being Sihanoukville and that being a huge China Town.

warning : graphic video of the accident, there is a man hanging from the car window, from video they had immediately evacuated the prince and his wife but left the others injured still inside the one of the car
Money is not the problem, the problem is no money

Posting on the run, didn't really elocute the thought very well. I initially remembered/thought the previous one happened in the run up to the 2013 election, bearing parallels and perhaps misplaced conspiratorial undertones, as it was alleged to not be accidental in the linked article. Turns out it was 2015 anyway.bangkokhooker wrote:reminds you in what way?epidemiks wrote: ↑Sun Jun 17, 2018 9:42 pm Reminds me of the last accident he was involved in.

Injured Cambodian Prince Ranariddh in stable condition, airlifted to Thai hospital
Source: Xinhua 2018-06-18 15:46:43
PHNOM PENH, June 18 (Xinhua) -- The condition of injured Cambodian Prince Norodom Ranariddh, president of Funcinpec Party, is "stable" and he has been airlifted to a hospital in Thailand, a senior party official said Monday.
"The information I got is that the prince's condition is stable," Funcinpec Party's secretary general Yim Savy told Xinhua. "He remains conscious and can speak normally."
However, the secretary general said "some of the prince's ribs were broken" and "one of his (right) leg's calf bones fractured" during the road accident.
"The prince was airlifted to a hospital in Bangkok for further medical checkup and treatment on Sunday night," he said.
The 74-year-old prince got injured and his 39-year-old wife Ouk Phalla died on Sunday when their car collided with a taxi traveling in the opposite direction in southwestern Preah Sihanouk province. Five people in the taxi were also wounded in the crash.
According to Savy, the prince and his wife were travelling in a BMW along with a motorcade consisting of other party senior members to meet their supporters in Preah Sihanouk province when they met the crash.
Both Ranariddh and his wife were standing as candidates in Cambodia's national election, which is scheduled on July 29, 2018.

RIP
Ms. Ouk Phalla died at the age of 39.
She began learning classical dance at the Royal School of Art when she was 9, made her first public appearance at 13 years old, and during the 1990s she was famous for dances including The Churning of the Ocean Milk.
Her first husband was the Cambodian Minister of Tourism, and after her marriage she gave up her role as lead classical dancer.
After she divorced her first husband, she married Prince Norodom Ranariddh (who divorced his first wife Eng Marie) in 2010. Ouk Phalla and Prince Norodom Ranariddh have two sons, Prince Norodom Ranarong and Norodom Sothearidh.

BANGKOK (Khmer Times) – Princess Ouk Phalla, the wife of Prince Norodom Ranariddh, is in a medically induced coma to help expedite her recovery after two successful surgeries.
Speaking to Khmer Times here, Prince Ranariddh said: “The surgeons have performed two surgeries. One on Sunday, soon after my wife was admitted in Bumrungrad Hospital, and the other Wednesday.”
“The first was to remove glass shards from her head and also to remove clots and explore haemorrhage and some swelling in the brain,” he continued. “The second was a procedure to tackle some spinal cord concerns. I can confirm to all well-wishers that Princess Phalla has full mortal capacity and will make a full recovery.
