Re: Tap Water Opinions
I have one of those three stage filters under my kitchen sink and the water from that is good.
Brush teeth with the regular tap water - a little exposure here and there will help your body build up new resistances anyway.

I drink it and don't get the shits from it.
I wash in it, brush teeth, cook and make ice.
As for dodgy pipes, check all old cities in Australia to see what is in them, I wouldn't worry too much.
In the provinces I would not drink the water un boiled but in PP is ok.

If there was a gold mine up stream or the USA had dropped defolient in that area would you still drink that water.

I did and I meant it. I don't drink from creeks or ponds but do drink the water from the roof run off or from wells once it has been boiled.

Re: Tap Water Opinions
My point was if you drank water from the well what did boiling the water do to the 245D and any other chemicals that were in the runoff or subteranian water

I have one of those 16l Thai drip filters, and run drinking water through that and into jugs for the fridge. Tastes better after running through the filter. About $25 to buy and $10 to change the filter every 6m or so. Thought about getting one the 3 stage in line filters, but the drip system works fine.
Cooking, brushing teeth, whatever, is straight from the tap.
The first few years I was here I used to forget and drink straight from the tap now and then, never had any issues.

I think the CBD and main, more affluent (effluent) long-established suburbs and new suburbs are fine..it' s the poorer, older areas like Steung Meanchey that may be dodgy
One can visit PPWSA and ask, they are near the main railway station in town, just west of it.
