Getting head...protection. How to stay safe?

This is a part of our Cambodia forums to chat about anything Cambodia-related. This discussion forum is at the top of our site because it's usually the busiest part of the expat community chatter with random topics on just about everything, including expat life, Khmer politics, Cambodian blogs we have or have come across, or whatever else our members want to discuss. Whether you're an expatriate, tourist, Cambodian or random traveler just passing through South East Asia, you are welcome to talk about anything or start new topics yourselves.

I found a very nice moto-x full-face for $35, saved my life once, threw it away, bought another one. Helmets are like condoms, only good fro one big bang. If you have one bang, even though it doesn't look damaged, buy another.

Half-face helmets are just stupid, don't protect your face or the side of your head, where a huge percentage of injuries occur.

The helmet should be a little tight when you buy it, the padding will compress slowly to fit you.
Here's a compromise if you dont like full face, but they're not cheap.

There are a few a good that sell Thai and Japanese helmets near O'Russey Market. From Monivong BLVD, walk towards the market, pass it, and there are the shops about a block past (same side of the street). One shop has the helmets displayed in a glass case out front, but the better ones on the walls inside. That place is best.
