Another genocide is taking place in Myanmar beside the one against the Rohginya

The Kachin state ( located in north east burma bordering China and India) was given the option of autonomy, after Burma was granted its independence from Britain after WW2, The Kachin state chose internal autonomy with Burma’s central government has denied them. The fight has been going since and many Kachin's live in Refugee camps in Myanmar which are often under fire.

It has now come out that the Burmese military is once again on the attack. BUT you wont read about it on CNN ( YET)

Since the beginning of this year, the Burmese military has upped its bombing campaign in different parts of Kachin state.
They want the Kachin Independent Organisation (KIO) to sign a peace treaty and subsequently disband the Kachin Independent Army (KIA).
Multiple sources told us how villages were being bombed and burnt, very similar to the Rohingya community in Rakhine state.
The Kachin people were fleeing and hiding in the jungles. They said the government of Myanmar have refused to give aid agencies access to them.

Authorities in Myanmar have been denying journalists, aid agencies, international observers, foreign diplomats and politicians access to the state.

The ministry is designing a national strategic plan to close IDP camps in Rakhine, Kachin, Shan and Karen states where more than 160,000 IDPs are taking shelter.

There are more than 100,000 IDPs in Kachin and northern Shan State, and the Kachin Baptist Convention, after consulting with State Counselor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, made a list of IDPs for their return to homes in relatively stable areas in 2017. But the plan was aborted as the Tatmadaw, or Myanmar Army, did not agree.
