MoI in lead as Games set for colourful close
4 June 2018

With nearly 700 medals, 209 of them gold with as many silver, awarded in the ongoing 2nd National Games involving 27 disciplines, the Ministry of Interior has almost doubled its gold count over nearest rivals Phnom Penh as Olympic Stadium gears up for Monday’s grand closing ceremony that will showcase the Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage.

The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts will play a lead role in putting together a cultural show that integrates traditional song and dance with contemporary Cambodian music and entertainment.

The highlight of the evening will be the peace and development dance that follows a routine from Cambodian singing sensation Meas Soksophea, according to the schedule made available to The Post by the organisers of the closing ceremony, the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC).
