Losing our house

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Whelp, so far, zero success in locating a house. We even went out past Clang Leu near Caltex and found a tiny two bedroom with a giant dirt hole at the front for $700. Gosh, what a steal. Found another house towards Stung Hav near Prek Treng Beach. I thought to myself, this house must be cheaper than the rest. No. $2700/month. Really looking like Kampot is becoming a real possibility. Not just Kampot, coming to Koh Kong and border towns soon, too.

Anywhere a new casino can be built, basically.

Come to Kep, the governor here doesn't want casino's and you can have a huge western style house with swimming pool and big garden for the price of a tiny house in shv. And if you have a car you are in Kampot in 10 minutes if you need more entertainment or shopping than Kep currently offers.

?? I already live here a long time, I've never driven longer than 20 minutes to kampot and that was on a khmer holiday weekend or something, can usually do it in 10 to 13 minutes during a normal weekday. Don't know the times with a tuktuk or scooter but can't imagine it would ever be 45 minutes, I'm almost halfway to PP in that time!

36 kilometers & 200 kilometers per hour is 10.48 minutes. Or about 120mph.
Hella driver you. Please tell me what you drive so I will know what blew by me so fast I couldn't see it.
