Black muck pollution on Pattaya beach scares away tourists
Jontien beach disaster zone! Stinking black sea as tourists flee!
Thai media Thai Rath pulled no punches in a report that said that Jomtien beach in Pattaya was a virtual disaster zone.
Filthy, stinking black water had turned a one kilometer stretch of the beach into a no go area. They suggested that the water was poisonous and possibly dangerous to swim in.
Pictures showed the disgusting state of the beach across a very wide area.
A pipe in the area of the Poo Pen restaurant was disgorging noxious water into the sea turning it a filthy black.
Yesterday a whole army of local officials, coastal resource staff and even the Na Jomtien police were surveying the environmental damage.
Run off from the city after many days of heavy rain has been named as the culprit.

Sanook pulled no punches in blaming the Pattaya authorities for polluting the sea at the resort.
After being advised by tourists and locals that the sea was both black and sea color they went and took their own pictures from up high.
It revealed a massive slick of stinking black water turning the Bali Hai/Pratumnak Hill area in to a "Black Lagoon".
There was no doubt in everyone's minds that this came from a municipal pipe - the water is suppose to have been treated.
But instead filthy black sewage has found its way into the sea once again.

It's probably that some cow had her period - enough to pollute a continent and soil poor Pattaya beach.
To gladly teach and gladly learn.

I never touch the water at the beach of Pattaya. Its very polluted because untreated sewage from Pattaya city is being dump there.

That's just the annual release of Pattaya evilness coming out into the bay. Nothing to worry about really.
