American Expat Kenneth Alberson, 66, Arrested for Allegedly Running Online Human Trafficking Ring in Chiang Rai

CHIANG RAI – American Expat Kenneth Viggo Albertsen has been arrested in a sting operation for allegedly running a online human trafficking service (Brothel) setting up men in northern Thailand with young Burmese women across the border, police said Tuesday (8 May).
Police said 66 year-old Kenneth Viggo Albertsen, who has been living in Chiang Rai province on a retirement visa, is behind a website and Facebook page called “Burmese Border Chicks for Hire” that sold sex with young Myanmar women for 6,500 baht (S$273).

The business brought women to meet clients on the Thai side of the border in Mae Sai, and also offered to “guide” men into Myanmar for sex services, police said.
“He has been operating for at least 10 years,” Colonel Jirabhob Bhuridej, deputy commander of Thailand’s Crime Suppression Police.

I wonder how long the FB group, so subtly named, had been up and running, and if that led to his demise after so long running the operation.
