76yo British expat passes away in Kampong Chhnang village

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

Kampong Chhnang: On May 8 at 6 am, a 76 year old British man, has passed away at his home in Mong Barang village, Sangkat Phaek, Kampong Chhnang.

The police said, the victim had previously worked as a taxi driver and in the Bank in England. After he retired, he came to live in Cambodia with his Cambodian wife, Pen Saran, 43 year old, for 1 year.

The victim's wife said that her husband had a respiratory disease which, like asthma, made it really hard for him to breath.

After the victim died, his wife called out to ask people for help and the neighbors contacted to the police immediately. The department of Foreigner Management of Tourism police and the provincial hospital went to examine the body and it was confirmed that the victim died from his illness.

The body was kept at his home waiting for the decision of the Embassy whether the body will be prepared for a funeral in Cambodia or sent back to family in England.
RIP. Condolences to his wife and family.
