I just tried to get a drivers license at the travel agency that procured my retirement visa...no can do! 😯

Are you surprised?

Travel agency...visa goes together...travel agency...driving licence...no.

They are quite possessive of driving licences, they don't outsource them.

Yes I was surprised. The business card advertised obtaining cambodia driver's license. Also I like to say that when I went to the immigration office to obtain a retirement visa the grumpy officer told me Go to travel agency. :beer1:

The Licensing Department does not like to outsource. It is, in its present persona, relatively new.

Immigration is different, and immigration goes back 20 years or more in this respect.

Its been no problem renewing or getting a new drivers license using a agency for the past 4 years. The change that requires that you go to PP and apply in person has only been in effect for past few months. Rumor is that it will change after KNY, but I cannot confirm that. Its a real pain for those who reside outside PP, to have to spend a day to just to renew.
