14yo Arrested after Trying to Snatch iPhone from Foreigners in a Tuk Tuk
Phnom Penh: On May 4 at 9:30 am, a 14 year old teenager, Phol Pholla, was arrested after tying to snatch iPhoneX from a foreign woman in a tuk tuk, in Phreah Norodom boulevard, Sangkat Tonle Basak, Khan Cham karmorn, Phnom Penh.
Leading up to the snatch and grab incident, there were two foreign women seeing the sights of Phnom Penh in a tuk tuk, and they were taking a picture in front of The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, when suddenly the suspect rode his motorbike to the right side of the tuk tuk, then tried to snatch the phone from the woman taking the photo.
However, the wannabe thief was unable to grab the phone, and his motorbike fell down after he collided with the tuk tuk. After that, the local police were able to pick the suspect up off the road and arrest him immediately.
The suspect was first detained at Tonle Bassac post, then transfered to Khan Chamkar Morn police station. There doesn't seem to be any talk about reeducating him or sending him to social services. However, he is a minor.
The foreign ladies and the iPhone were unharmed. The amount of damage done to the tuk tuk is not mentioned.

Usually kids with money that do this shit. Poor people are busy trying to dig food out of the trash or selling their bodies to give their mom's card playing money.
"The revolution did more than legally create the United States; it transformed American society... Far from remaining monarchical, hierarchy-ridden subjects on the margin of civilization, Americans had become, almost overnight, the most liberal, the most democratic, the most commercial minded, and the most modern people in the world." - Gordon S. Wood
