Cambodia Visa Updates For Expats & Tourists 2018 (Visa On Arrival, Extensions, Retirement Visas, 3/6/12 Months)

If they don't have a registered business then they will have to proffer a letter of employment from a Cambodian company / business along with the WP in order to get the EB EOS.StroppyChops wrote: ↑Tue Apr 10, 2018 5:30 pm but are very likely to have to register a business name - which, after all, is how they'll be paying their lawful taxes to the Kingdom - within the period of that WP.
This letter of employment puts the Cambodian company on the hook for any taxes to be withheld for the duration of the contract.
Maybe that's the difference between a freelancer and an independent contractor.

Yep, maybe. Also messes with the company's nationality quota, which - at my place of employment at least - is being strongly enforced now.Brody wrote: ↑Tue Apr 10, 2018 5:50 pmIf they don't have a registered business then they will have to proffer a letter of employment from a Cambodian company / business along with the WP in order to get the EB EOS.StroppyChops wrote: ↑Tue Apr 10, 2018 5:30 pm but are very likely to have to register a business name - which, after all, is how they'll be paying their lawful taxes to the Kingdom - within the period of that WP.

Has anyone tried to get the 6 month EG visa with 1-year EB EOS in the passport?
Can you
1) just apply before your EB ends, to follow on from it, or
2) need to leave, and re-enter on a 1 month ordinary, then apply for EG or
3) get a completely clean passport somehow?
What about WP in case 2, do you have to pay up for all the old EB EOS, or just go from the latest ordinary visa?

re: 3): you may have gotten away with this years ago, but records are much more detailed and better kept now.
