Daytime security at Kep Beach?

Post by Dangerous Dave »

Next week I will be in Kampot and I'd been thinking about taking the quick r/t bus ride over to Kep Beach for a few splashes in the sewage and an overpriced lunch. Thing is, I can't find any references on how to store anything securely and/or change clothes, at or within walking distance of the beach. I guess I could use those unspeakably insalubrious bathrooms at the back of the strip center across the street to change, but that will still leave the question of how to safeguard anything not waterproof while I'm in the water.

Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

Just roll your iPhone x into your shirt and leave it on the beach, that is how I do it.
Gotta have some faith.

It's been raining quite a lot recently so maybe the bogs will not smell as bad.

there's nowhere close by to leave ur stuff, I dont take anything to the beach but towels and a few $$.
BUT
Even when i took stuff, (usually have a small day pack with cameras, cash, etc), in all the years i have gone to the beach, I have just left the bag near a family or someone , never had anything stolen, thou am sure it happens.

Where do you go for overpriced lunch? Last I ended up at a Mexican place close to the beach and had a very reasonably priced delicious burrito.

I like the restaurant at the big grand-looking place cut into the side of the hill, overlooking the beach -- but they ain't fast and they ain't cheap.

I'll probably save the fapping for when I get back to the hotel.
