There was a case in the late 70s when a mule, who had ingested more than a kilo of hash, had the THC absorbed into his system after the wrapping was dissolved by stomach acids. He was hospitalised when the flight arrived, but recovered later with no lasting after-effects, other than a prison sentence and, possibly, better sleeping habits and an improved appetite.
