Welcome to Moe's Bar on Street 144!

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. It's very decent of Moe's to offer a free beer, and those prices are very reasonable (for beers I don't drink!). How they can sell the Foreign Export Guinness (from Malaysia?) for a dollar is beyond me, I thought it cost more than that in mom & pop stores. I haven't even seen Tuborg on sale for months. To be honest I would never go to any bar for a free beer, but sometimes new places are worth checking out.

As a long term patron of girlie bars in Sea I know the things Westerners like.

OP could learn from this.

First by thing.

1.hostess cannot use smartphone at work.

2. 0.75$ cold draft archors 24/7.

3.ladydrinks should be abolished.

4. Bar fines should be free.

5.no questions about allowed is..

What your name?
Where u come from?
How long you stay Cambodia?
Why you come Cambodia no money?

1. Agree with that
3 + 4 would equal a sausage fest.

Totally agree and many bars do have this policy.

2. 0.75$ cold draft archors 24/7.

Impractical 24/7. Can have a happy hour price but remember that the owner has costs like , rent, wages, electricity so cannot provide a charity service for pissheads.

3.ladydrinks should be abolished.

Why? This is how many ladies suppliment a short wage. If you cannot afford LD go drink at 7/11.

4. Bar fines should be free.
So you have 20 girls and punters see them and go into the bar, talk with girls, drink with girls , play pool.
Now at 11.00 pm 12 girls go with customers and there is no one left to entertain new customers so they leave. Lost business. That is why there are bar fines because the star attractions are missing and income reduces.

5.no questions about allowed is..

What your name? You never ask them their name?
Where u come from? You Never ask this?
How long you stay Cambodia? You ask "How old are you"
Why you come Cambodia no money? A Legitamite question to cheapskates who want to play with the girls but claim not to have money to buy LD.
Bottom line is if I go to a bar and the prices are too high or ladies not friendly or none speak English then I leave and go somewhere else.

Lastly respect the girls as they are not really here for your pleasure because "you hansom man" but because they need money to provide for their families. =@

The "girls", "ladies" and "hostesses" are for the most part prostitutes - is that correct?
