Is the Tonlie Sap next on the list

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

It'll be more difficult, but I guess they probably could sell the whole tonle sap lake once it's a barren wasteland after Chinese dams stop the annual flood surge.

I'm not clear on the location. Is this from St 108 north to the bridge? Wonder if this has anything to do with the long rumoured redevelopment of the area west of there for the huge trade and commerce zone.

The Tonle Sap river, not lake you knucklehead. Did you even read the article? We’re talking about the stretch of riverfront that runs from the night market up to the Japanese bridge.

Typical that the reason for the decision is shrouded in secrecy. No doubt somewhere a bong thom has some get-rich scheme cooking on his birdbrain back burner. Of one thing you can be sure: the welfare of the Khmer people figures in nowhere.

And who is responsible for considering the welfare of the Khmer people?
In a decision like this, would the Chinese government be responsible for considering what's best for the Khmer's or is the Cambodian government responsible for that?
To gladly teach and gladly learn.

The Cambodian government always considers it's people first. Above all else.
